ABOUT THE WORK

Photo by Bran MeadeWe will work together to restore your body’s resources for healing and balance. I bring a rich body of knowledge from years of studying and practice with dance, somatic work, massage, the BodyTalk System, dream-work, shamanic practices, and Craniosacral Therapy. Drawing on my research and training, I’ll provide a distinct container for you by using any combination of touch, listening, energy work, and movement to support you.

Our systems are always pointing us toward health, are in constant communication, and collaborating to create optimal functioning and expression. The innate intelligence of the body directs many processes through fluid, energy, neural, and chemical pathways. It is my job to listen and collaborate with this intelligence. Ultimately, all healing is to heal “relationship” and to serve the whole.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During the first visit, we will discuss your health history and identify your health priorities and goals.

Wear comfortable clothing and if possible, allow yourself downtime after the session to notice changes, integrate, and rest. I recommend being hydrated before and after the appointment.

ABOUT CRANIOSACRAL

In Craniosacral we focus on supporting balance and change in the fluid body and central nervous system. This treatment can be very subtle, gentle, yet profound in its effects. As practitioners, we listen to and support your body’s organizing intelligence. This sometimes involves the decompression and mobilization of joints and structures of the face, jaw, and cranium. This modality relieves stress, which contributes to pain, restriction, and many common ailments. Additionally, Craniosacral work is effective for improving cognitive function, relieving shock and trauma from the body, unwinding tension patterns, TMJ disorders, and the effects of whiplash. With light touch, we encourage life giving energies, fluids, and health to flow freely within you.
